Welcome to my writing blog…. I think of myself as a bit of a technophobe so it seems strange to be saying that. I am, however, very interested in our own English language and words have always been very important to me. Therefore I think the time has come for me to embrace technology to share my writings and my fascinations on the subject of words with you ….. Let’s see how I get on.

Hello !!!

My writings that I will be bringing to you each week are in the form of poems and are my take on life situations and events that I haven’t necessarily experienced but hearing of others that have, I have felt moved in someway to express my feelings as if I were them.

I’d been with my ex Barrie quite a while when I showed him one of my very first poems ‘Adopted’ and his first words after reading it were “you’ve never told me you were adopted” I must have got something right because I wasn’t adopted.

There’ll be some fun with words each week. Introductions to new and amusing words. Play on words, and lots of interesting snippets about the origin of some of our most unusual words and day to day sayings. I might even share with you some recipes here from time to time because I love food just as much as I love words and the other love of my life may be dipping her paw into the blogging world for the first time too and she is my adorable cat Pearl who is just pawfection!!!
